Vincy Mas runs from late June into early July, right when a lot of us are already craving a summer trip. J’Ouvert opens things up Monday morning, Tuesday is the big mas day, and the Soca Monarch competition keeps every fete packed leading up to it.

The whole thing has a relaxed, local feel to it. Once the road days wind down, the Grenadines are just a ferry ride away, which makes for a pretty perfect way to recover.
